Enclosure No. 2 to Governor's Despatch No. 326/61.
Minutes on the Circulating Cover.
1)
Lt. Col. Hughes, E.A.M.C.
Gratuity.
Lau Chu Pak Esq.
I am in favour of granting him the allowances.
Fung Wa Chun Esq.
He should be granted an allowance.
J. Osborne Esq.
Gratuity.
The Principal Civil Medical Officer. Seeing that he has already been granted $792 passage money home for wife and self, I think a gratuity quite sufficient, i.e., one month's pay for each year's service. It does not appear that he was medically examined on arrival here; I consider that all Government officials should be medically examined on arrival when first appointed to the service.
The Captain Superintendent of Police.
Gratuity.
I am in favour of his receiving any allowance to which he may be entitled on account of his service.
The Acting Director of Public Works.
